The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the registration dates for the CA Inter Examination under the new scheme. Registration for the CA Inter Sept 2026 exam is open till May 1, 2026. Interested candidates can register online through the official website of ICAI.

The registration fee for both groups is Rs. 18,000, and for a single group, it is Rs. 13,000. It is important to complete CA Inter registration at least eight months before the examination month starts. Starting from the Sept 2026 session, ICAI has set a CA Inter examination three times a year in May, September, and January 2026. Each session has a time limit for specific registration.

They can register for the CA Foundation Examination directly for the CA Intermediate course. This means that they can leave the foundation level and go directly to the intermediate level.

The minimum qualification requirements for registration through the direct entry passage vary depending on the educational background. Commerce graduates or postgraduates require a minimal collection of 55% marks, while non-competitive graduates or postgraduates should get a minimum of 60% marks.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, the registration for the CA Intermediate course is simple. Just follow these steps: 

• Step 1: Go to eservices.icai.org. 
• Step 2: Click on 'Student Services.' 
• Step 3: Choose 'Entry-Level Form.' 
• Step 4: Fill in your details accurately. 
• Step 5: Click 'Produce OTP' and check your email and mobile for login details. 
• Step 6: Log in and complete the CA Intermediate registration, including uploading and paying for the required documents. 
• Step 7: Finally, download your CA Intermediate Registration Receipt for your record.

Documents Required for CA Intermediate Registration 2026 

To complete your CA intermediate registration, you need to collect and submit some documents to the ICAI Regional Office within seven days of online registration. Make sure you have a printed online registration form, signed and ready to go. 

• If you are entering through the CA Foundation Route, then provide a certified copy of your Class 12 marksheet or an equivalent recognized examination pass statement from the central government. 
• If you are entering through direct entry, you will need a certified copy of your graduate/post-graduation mark sheet or either the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) marks-wise examination. 
• Include a recent color photo associated with your CA Intermediate 2026 registration form. If you are a foreign candidate, include a certified copy of your evidence of nationality. 
• If applicable, provide a certified copy of your special category certificate, such as SC/ST, OBC, or separately abled proof.

Validity of CA Intermediate Registration Sept 2026

When you sign up for the CA Intermediate course, your registration lasts for five years with the new system. If you want to extend it for another five years, you can do this by paying a fee of Rs 400. After the initial registration period is over, you have to pay the additional fee prescribed by the authorities to keep your registration valid.
